We are a group of concerned writers,
journalists, human rights activists
and citizens across the world calling
for Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa
to extend a full presidential pardon
to Tissa and to drop all charges against
him so his name will be cleared.
Our Objectives
We request that the Sri Lankan
government:
- Sri Lankan government drop all
charges against Mr. Tissainayagam
- Sri Lankan president extend a
full presidential pardon to Mr.
Tissainayagam so his name will be
fully cleared
- Immediately alleviate current
atmosphere of media suppression
prevailing in the country– including
the threatening, killing and jailing
of journalists and media workers
- Ensure the utmost safety and security
of Mr. Tissainayagam and his family
